Our Membership Options:

We offer three types of membership to keep things really simple.

Our Virtual Membership
Allows you to ride our incredible sessions from the comfort of your own home. 
Not only this, but we also have a timetable of virtual sessions so you won't even be riding alone ...
Using an online chat app, we can talk you through the sessions and you'll be able to talk to our members riding with you.

Our Peloton Membership:
Allows you to come in and ride four sessions per month.
So if you are really pushed for time this is a perfect way to improve your cycling.

To maximise the benefit of the studio we recommend coming 2-3 times per week.

This is why we have our VIP membership:
You can come as often as you like and ride our highly beneficial sessions that'll bring your cycling to a whole new level.

Each one of the HURTBOX  sessions is carefully designed by Coach Ant – our resident cycling and triathlon expert to ensure you are pushed harder than you would on your own – we know first hand how tough it is to really push yourself working out on your own – this is where our amazing community and camaraderie comes into its own.

We draw comparisons to Spin Classes – yes we bring together groups on the bike, the key difference is we plan and care about each and every session.

There are no sprints “ for the hell of it” or any standing climbs to the beat of the backing music.

We deal in performance, making you faster, stronger and happier on two wheels.

Still not sure?

Let me cover a few key questions we get asked…

1. What if I can’t make any sessions? 

We have an extensive timetable of cycling sessions in Southampton, we know there is something for everyone. 

But, if there isn't and you find after joining you really aren't able to settle in and get into the swing of our sessions then let us know, we are here to help. 

If we really can't, you can also ask for a full refund within 14 days with no questions asked. We know you'll love working with us.

2. What if I don’t improve?

Now, we said earlier that we are only interested in performance (and having a good time in the process..!) Which means if you aren’t improving, then we are failing at what we want to achieve. We are a small company, a couple of regular people with big dreams of building happier cyclists… And failing isn’t something we want.
So, honestly, we’ve designed HURTBOX in a way that you WILL improve. If you come regularly (and this is why we have UNLIMITED memberships) you WILL improve. No questions asked. The only problem will be if you can’t commit the time… In which case, no one can help you out (sorry to be so blunt…)

3. When can I start?

As soon as you click to purchase your membership, you are a fully-fledged member of HURTBOX and you can book onto our sessions right away. The only bit of admin we need to do is a quick questionnaire for health and safety and also to get some key details about the bike you’ll be bringing with you too.

4. What experience do I need to have?

No prior experience is required (that’s what we are here for) – we’ll help, guide and show you the quickest way to get fitter, stronger and faster on the bike. We’ve been known to show you how to set your bike up, how to change a puncture and even give advice on bikes/equipment.

5. Do I need to bring my own bike in for the Studio Sessions?

Yes, we feel it is paramount to your cycling experience to ride you own bike at all times. Chances are you are comfortable on it already, log plenty of miles on it and you’ll be taking part in your events with your bike… So why ride anything else in training?
So in our studio, you’ll bring your bike, remove the back wheel, connect it to our indoor trainers and away you go.
Structured training sessions on your own bike in your own position. Comfort and science combined – plus no chance of getting that numb bum you’ll get riding those standard saddles at the gym.

6. What do I need to ride the Virtual Sessions

The essential list is here: 
 - A turbo trainer (literally any will do)
 - A bike 
 - A fan is optional, but definitely helps keep you cool!
 - A (free) Training Peaks account to access our timetable 

We'll be able to walk you through the setting up of all the above. 

The next thing we would add in order to chat with us through the sessions is a smartphone, we use a special app which enables all of us to chat whilst on the bike. It makes the time fly and ticks those all-important social needs too. 

For the full at-home effect, we would recommend the following: 
 - A 'Smart' turbo trainer
 - A bike
 - A fan
 - A (free) Training Peaks account
 - A Zwift subscription (around £12.99pcm) as we set weekly meetups on this software.
 - A smartphone and our chat app to speak to everyone during the sessions. 

7. Do you offer any discounts?

The only offers we currently have are for local clubs (Southampton Tri Club, Hedge End Tri Club, Sotonia Cycling Club). If your club/members would also be interested in having a club discount available – please email us via ride@hurtbox.co.uk and we’ll see what we can do.
We sadly don’t dish out loads of offers willy nilly otherwise we’d be doing our current members a disservice and we can’t have that! The prices you see on our membership page are our lowest prices.
